Over 12,000 consumer complaints posted by users of Complaints.com have been recovered from the Wayback Machine. Complaints.com was a consumer complaints website which operated from 2006 to 2016. Today it redirects to a random blog on Blogger that has nothing to do with complaints. We are not sure exactly why Complaints.com shut down. It was a good website with a money domain name perfectly capable of competing with the likes of Ripoff Report, Pissed Consumer, and Complaints Board.
We recovered the complaints by downloading everything ever archived by the Wayback Machine using software specifically designed to scrape the Wayback Machine. Unfortunately, most web pages are never archived by the Wayback Machine, so even though there were probably hundreds of thousands of complaints posted on it over the years we could only recover 12,330. This is sadly the largest restore we’ve done so far due to the other sites we targeted for restoration having far less posts in the Wayback Machine.
